Manvir to represent national baseball team in South Korea

LUDHIANA: Manvir Singh from Ludhiana has been selected to represent the national baseball team for the Little League Baseball Championship-2019 scheduled to be held in South Korea towards the end of this month.

Manvir Singh from Ludhiana has been selected to represent the national baseball team for the Little League Baseball Championship-2019 scheduled to be held in South Korea towards the end of this month.

Manvir, a student of Class VI at Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town, will compete in the U-13 age group in this international baseball league to be held at Hwaseong Dream Park, South Korea, from June 22 to 28.

Manvir started the game only three months ago and made a big stride as he got a place in the national team. A trainee of baseball coach Jatinder Kumar Thakur, Manvir is very excited over his selection for the upcoming international tour.

He played extremely well in the Sub-Junior Punjab State Baseball Championship held in Ludhiana last month and played a pivotal role for his team emerging champions.

Principal Mona Singh congratulated Manvir and his parents on his getting selected for the national baseball team and wished him success. She also appreciated Harjinder Kau and Jatinder Kumar, physical education teacher and coach, respectively, for their guidance.
