The body of a 23-year-old girl of Sanghol, near here, who was missing from her house for the last seven days was recovered from Bhakra Canal.
As per the information the deceased’s father said his daughter was mentally ill for past some time and disappeared from the house on November 2.
The family members searched for her and informed the police. As per Kulwinder Singh, chowki in charge Sanghol, a body of a girl was found in the Bhakra Canal near Patiala on Friday evening after which it was taken out with the help of divers.
As per him, no case was registered in this regard and the body was handed over to her guardians after the postmortem.
