Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) today announced the launch of the book “My Earth My Responsibility Ludhiana chapter - A report (July 2014 - Dec 2016)”. The book release ceremony will be held tomorrow at a local hotel in city.

Disciples of Ashutosh Majaraj, Sadhvi Aditi Bharti, in charge of the nature conservation programme of the DJJS, Sadhvi Parma Bharti Ji, preacher speaker and Tarsem Singh, incharge of the My Earth My Responsibility (MEMR) programme, Ludhiana chapter, discussed the campaign, its journey so far and road ahead as well as the report to be released.

Addressing mediapersons, Sadhvi Aditi Bharti said, “Environment conservation is not a one day activity rather it is a lifestyle, which is the need of the hour. Over the past two and half years, DJJS Sanrakshan through its “My Earth My Responsibility Campaign” has worked relentlessly to steer residents of the city towards this lifestyle. And today, we have reached a landmark and stand just a day away from release of a comprehensive report on the journey of the campaign.”

She also announced organisation’s plans of undertaking a rigorous awareness generation campaign to stop rising air pollution in the city during the coming months on behalf of DJJS Sanrakshan. A special cyclathon to promote green living will also be organised as a part of the campaign. Besides, for furthering objectives of the campaign, the organisation will work in specific locations of the city to create pilot models of change for effective replication. When asked if the book release event marked the end of the campaign in the city, Sadhvi Bharti said, “Earth is our home, our mother, and living our responsibilities towards her can never come to an end. Through MEMR we have reminded people about their environmental responsibility. — TNS
