The final examinations for Class X and XII of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) are underway and keeping in view the stress students generally take during the examinations, the Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has launched a helpline for the students appearing in their examinations.
The main aim of launching the helpline is to help students keep stress at bay and motivate them to study hard for their ongoing examinations.
The helpline number being launched is 1860-180-1012. The helpline would be operational from 11 am to 6:30 pm during which the students or parents can discuss the exam or preparation-related issues with the experts.
A panel of 20 experts would be online during this period. Students can seek advice from five experts on the same topic.
The helpline would be co-ordinated by Punjabi University’s head of the Psychology Department and 15 students and psychologists from the department would counsel the students. In addition to this, four psychologists from Government Medical College, Chandigarh, are there and one member from social security, Women and Child Development Department.
