FATEHGARH SAHIB: The anti-narcotics cell of the district police arrested a person with 1 kg of heroin worth Rs 5 crore during checking of vehicles in Sirhind town today.

The anti-narcotics cell of the district police arrested a person with 1 kg of heroin worth Rs 5 crore during checking of vehicles in Sirhind town today.

The accused was reportedly riding a two-wheeler.

Though top police officials have neither confirmed nor denied the news, sources said the SSP would address mediapersons tomorrow.

Sources said he admitted that he was involved in supply of drugs. He used to bring drugs from Delhi and supply in the various districts of Punjab.
