LUDHIANA: The Division 7 police have arrested a smuggler and recovered 260 gram of intoxicant powder and a countrymade pistol of .



Ludhiana, July 18

The Division 7 police have arrested a smuggler and recovered 260 gram of intoxicant powder and a countrymade pistol of .32 bore with a cartridge from his possession. He has been identified as Sandeep Kumar of EWS Colony.

The investigating officer, ASI Sukhwinder Singh, said the police got a tip-off that Sandeep was a drug smuggler and he had an illegal weapon. The police laid a trap and nabbed him on Tajpur Road.

Meanwhile, the Shimlapuri police nabbed a smuggler, identified as Sushil Sharma of Dhillon Nagar, with 1 kg of ganja. He was arrested at a naka near the Gill canal.

The Division 1 police nabbed a drug smuggler with 9 gram of heroin. He has been identified as Ravinder Kumar of New Kundanpuri. — TNS
