A man, who was in depression, killed his wife and three children in Mehrauli area here on Friday night, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said, “The accused has been identified as Upender Shukla, a teacher, who killed the four around 1.30 am.”
The deceased were wife Archana, two girls, age 7 and two months, and a boy, age 5, the DCP said.
He said the man killed three of them with a stone grinder and strangled the two-month-old girl.
The man had been arrested and the police were investigating the case, he said.
On Saturday morning, when his mother-in-law knocked on the door, Upender didn’t answer it. She sounded the neighbours who called the police.
The police are investigating the matter, the DCP added.
