Four vehicles damaged as wall caves in near Shimla

Four vehicles parked on the edge of the road at Comeli Bank near the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha were damaged as the retaining wall caved in following rain on Wednesday night. The rain triggered landslides at many places.

Owners of the vehicles blamed the Municipal Corporation for the poor construction and alleged that the retaining wall was constructed only four months ago. One of the vehicle owners, Asha Ram, has lodged a complaint at the Boileauganj police station against the MC and demanded a probe into the construction of the wall.

In a similar incident, four persons were injured when a slab of an under-construction house collapsed near Kasumpti, in the suburbs of the town.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
