JAIPUR: Four boys of a joint Gurjar family on Monday drowned in a pond while taking bath, at Kodar village in Jaipur’s Bagru area.

Four boys of a joint Gurjar family on Monday drowned in a pond while taking bath, at Kodar village in Jaipur’s Bagru area.

The bodies were taken out by divers from 15 ft deep pond surrounded by farmland in the afternoon. The deceased were identified as Prakash, Roshan, Kamal and Vikas (all in 15-16 age group), DCP (West) Vikas Sharma said.

The four schoolchildren had come to take bath in the forenoon when a supporting rope which they were holding on snapped and they could not swim to safety, the DCP added. 

The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem.
