New Delhi, Sept 18
After being refused earlier, senior Congress leaders on Wednesday managed to meet former finance minister P Chidambaram, who is lodged in the Tihar jail for alleged corruption and money laundering.
Chidambaram was sent to police remand on September 5, and has since been at the Tihar jail.
Chidambaram’s son Karti also accompanied Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel to the meeting.
“We got the permission to meet P Chidambaram today and saw him in the Tihar jail’s main campus. He is keeping good health and is not getting any special treatment,” said Azad.
