Justice Indrajit Mahanty was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court on Sunday.

Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath to Justice Mahanty, who was earlier serving at the Bombay High Court.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Assembly Speaker C P Joshi, Justice Mohanty’s wife Kavita, son Satyajeet and daughter Akanksha were also present at the oath-taking ceremony which was held at Raj Bhawan.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
