MANALI, DECEMBER 3
Hundreds of tourists visiting Manali from all over the country made a beeline for Gulaba on the Manali- Rohtang road to enjoy snow today. As the Rohtang Pass has been closed for tourists in view if the snowfall, tourists are allowed to venture up to Gulaba only.
Tourists, who visit Kullu- Manali, love to visit Gulaba to enjoy snow and the magnificent view of the snow covered hills of the surrounding areas. Gulaba, situated at about 21 km from here, is popularly known as the “snow point”.
Anjani Mahadev, near Solang valley, is the new hotspot for tourists. The area has some patches of snow and is easily approachable after a few minutes of walk. The area became famous because of the formation of an ice lingam in winter months. Enthusiasts come here to see this miracle and to worship the Anjani Mahadev ice lingam.
Many tourists are also thronging Solang valley for paragliding and other adventure activities. Tourist inflow to the town is moderate these days. The hoteliers here are eagerly awaiting Christmas and the New Year eve when all the hotels are expected to be fully occupied.
