Brahm Mohindra undergoes bypass surgery

CHANDIGARH: Cabinet Minister Brahm Mohindra onWednesday underwent open heart bypass surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where he was admitted a few days ago with post viral complications.

Chandigarh, September 11

Cabinet Minister Brahm Mohindra on Wednesday underwent open heart bypass surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where he was admitted a few days ago with post viral complications.

After the surgery, Mohindra was recuperating in the cardiac care unit at the hospital and his condition was stable, said a close associate of the minister. He was admitted to the hospital after one of his arteries around stomach was ruptured and he complained of uneasiness in breathing.

Apart from ministers, CM Capt Amarinder Singh also visited him and talked to the doctors attending him. — TNS
