The ex-MLA has gone underground after he was booked for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a newly wedded woman, who is missing since April 24. The police also carried out raids in Mohali, Hoshiarpur and Ferozepur to apprehend Nannu, but in vain. Earlier, the police had booked Nannu in the case pertaining to the “missing” woman Navpreet Kaur (24), who had eloped from her house in Akku Wala village on April 24. Till date, neither the police have been able to locate the missing her nor have they arrested Nannu.

SSP Sandeep Goel said proceedings regarding the circular had been started following which all airports would be informed to check the movement of Nannu and the missing woman. He said the ex-MLA had been booked on the basis of a complaint filed by the family members of the woman, who alleged his role in the entire episode. The SSP said the police was working on different theories and all possible efforts were being made to trace her.
