CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Congress has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent statement where he had said that the Congress had failed to waive farmer loans.

The Punjab Congress has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent statement where he had said that the Congress had failed to waive farmer loans.

Gurdaspur MP and Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar and Jalandhar MP Santokh Singh Chaudhry on Wednesday protested in front of Parliament on the issue.

The two leaders were holding a placard that read: ‘PM’s lie nailed’; ‘In Punjab, the Congress has waived loans amounting to Rs 3,445 crore of 4,17,387 farmers’.
