Seminar on cyber security held at DAV

LUDHIANA:Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Civil Lines, organised session ‘Cyber Surakshit’ for students of Class VIII to XII.

Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Civil Lines, organised session ‘Cyber Surakshit’ for students of Class VIII to XII. The seminar was part of the initiative of the Ludhiana Police Commissionerate. 

Rakshit Tandon, cyser security expert, was the speaker for the day. He generated awareness among students about various cyber crimes such as cyber bullying, impersonation, pornography and hacking. Students were also guided about various ways to protect their personal information on various social networking sites. Special emphasis was also laid on the hazardous effects of playing games and using internet for long hours. Tandon said spending long hours on video games lead to aggression and violence among students.

Principal Anu Verma thanked the speaker for sharing his wisdom. She said it was crucial for students to have accurate cyber knowledge in today’s tech-savvy environment and advised students to be responsible digital citizens. —TNS
