Soldier injured in Rajouri ceasefire violation

RAJOURI: Pakistani troops on Tuesday resorted to heavy mortar shelling in Kalal (Nowshera) and Minka Mahadev (Sunderbani) areas in Rajouri district, and in Degwar and Mankot areas in Poonch district.

Pakistani troops on Tuesday resorted to heavy mortar shelling in Kalal (Nowshera) and Minka Mahadev (Sunderbani) areas in Rajouri district, and in Degwar and Mankot areas in Poonch district.

According to reports, a soldier manning a forward post in the Kalal area was injured in a sniper fire from across the Line of Control (LoC) and was airlifted to Jammu.

Meanwhile, senior Army officers visited several locations on the LoC in both border districts. — OC
