Woman run over by train in Khanna

KHANNA: A Khanna-based woman was run over by a train near the Lalheri Road railway over bridge (ROB).

A Khanna-based woman was run over by a train near the Lalheri Road railway over bridge (ROB). The deceased has been identified as Harpal Kaur (55), a resident of Dalip Singh Nagar, Khanna.

Jasvir Singh, a GRP official, said a guard on board of Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi informed station master about a body near the railway track.

Jasvir said he along with others reached the spot and found the body. Later, the victim was identified through documents.

The police handed over the body to deceased’s husband after conducting the post-mortem.
