ADGP (Welfare) Sanjeev Kalra on Thursday visited the newly made first corporate style Civil Lines police station and inspected new facilities developed here.

Bathinda IGP MF Farooqui and SSP Dr Nanak Singh accompanied him to the police station.

The idea of making corporate style police station is a brain child of IGP MF Farooqui to give image moreover to police station and making cordial relation between the police and public.

On Wednesday, IGP MF Farooqui inaugurated the first corporate style police station in the state.

A new waiting hall, along with a dedicated reception desk, has been set up and a public relations officer has been deputed. Staff have been given special training in public dealing.

After getting good response from the public, other police stations will also be developed on a similar pattern.
