Mansa, July 17

Apneet Riyait on Tuesday joined as the Deputy Commissioner of Mansa district. She was earlier posted in Chandigarh as Additional Secretary (Personnel) and also held the charge of Additional Managing Director (AMD), Markfed.

On reaching Mansa in the morning, she was presented the guard of honour by a contingent of the Mansa police, followed by a welcome by senior officers SDM Abhijeet Kaplish, GA Om Parkash and SP (H) Sachin Gupta at the District Administrative Complex.

The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner said fighting against the drug menace under the Tandarust Punjab Mission and providing transparent administration would be her top priorities. — TNS
