Vaidehi Nair, 11, a student of Class VI has already carved a niche for herself by playing the lead role in the documentary “Talwars: Behind Closed Doors”. A student of Army Public School and resident of Bathinda Cantonment, Vaidehi dreams to enter Bollywood.

She said in this era of competition, one needs to start young. Daughter of an Army officer, Vaidehi gives equal importance to her studies as well.

Her father, Lieutenant Colonel Chand Nair and mother Manpreet are proud parents. “Initially we were worried about her studies but she proved us wrong and has managed well. She is playing both the roles well,” Chand said.

Vaidehi journey began two years ago when she shot a video of herself and forwarded it to a company involved in providing platform to budding actors.

She was called for audition and asked to play the role of Arushi Talwar in the documentary series, based on the 2008 sensational double murder case of Arushi and her helper Hemraj.

The documentary was aired on Star World and HBO Asia. She has also worked as a child actor in four films till now along with the likes of Om Puri, Huma Qureshi, Shiv Pandit, Jimmi Shergill, Yuvika Choudhary and others.
