City-based Eashaan Agrawal has bagged all India rank (AIR) 9 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), results of which were announced on Friday evening.
Eashaan has topped the exam in the state by obtaining 172.75 marks out of 200.
To crack the CLAT, Eashaan took coaching for two years from Career Launcher. Eashaan, who studied at Saint Xavier School obtained 96 per cent in Class XII.
Eashaan said, “With the guidance of my teachers, I focused on relevant concepts. I had to ensure that I prepare properly for the CLAT and Class XII exams. Mock tests helped a lot in cracking the entrance exam.”
“My mother who is an English teacher at Saint Xavier School and father is in Indian Army assisted me in preparing for the exam,” he said.
Talking about his role model in this field, he said, “Senior lawyer Harish Salve, who is handling the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav and veteran lawyer Arun Jaitley inspired me to pursue law. I will be taking admission at National Law University, Delhi.”
Elated over his son’s achievement, Mukesh Agrawal, who is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army said, “Securing AIR 9 in the CLAT is indeed a great achievement. We are proud of our son. His sheer dedication and hard work has paid off.”
Eashaan has decided to prepare for Civil Services exam as well. Apart from academics, he loves to swim and play badminton.
