Bathinda: A chess player from Baba Farid College has bagged third position in North-Zone Chess Championship 2019 held recently. Manpreet Kaur, a student of BSc (non-medical) second year, won bronze medal by bagging third position in chess during the championship held in Chandigarh.



Bathinda: A chess player from Baba Farid College has bagged third position in North-Zone Chess Championship 2019 held recently. Manpreet Kaur, a student of BSc (non-medical) second year, won bronze medal by bagging third position in chess during the championship held in Chandigarh. Manpreet represented Punjabi University, Patiala, in the championship and has been selected for the All-India Chess Championship (Women), which will be organised at KIIT, Bhuvneswar, Odisha, in the coming days. Manpreet thanked the management of the Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) and sports department of the college for guiding and supporting her. She said her next aim would be to win a gold in the All-India Chess Championship (Women). TNS
