DC B Srinivasan has allowed some essentials units to operate during the curfew in the district.
He said all private hospitals and nursing homes, HMEL Refinery Phulokhari, Cargill Private Limited, National Fertilizer Limited and LPG Bottling Plant, Phus Mandi, would continue to operate.
Apart from this, Bathinda Terminal Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Jassi Chowk; Bathinda Terminal BPCL, Jassi Chowk; and Bathinda Terminal HPCL, Jassi Chowk; have been allowed to function.
Moreover, employees working in the Health Department, veterinary hospital, AIIMS, bottling plant for the production of sanitisers, PSPCL, PSTCL, thermal plant at Lehra Mohabbat, BSNL and Verka milk plant have been allowed to work.
According to the orders issued by the DC, Indian Oil petrol pump at Jassi Pao Wali Chowk, HPCL petrol pump in Model Town phase 2, Bathinda Service Station on the Mansa road, Maur Service Station at Maur, Narsi Ram Aggarwak Filling Station at Rampura Phul, Guru Kashi Filling Station at Talwandi Sabo, Surjit HP Station near HPCL, LPG plant at Rama and Highway Petro Care Center near HMEL Refinery at Ramsera will continue to operate.
Farmers will be allowed to harvest, store and transport potatoes. The administration will allow the movement of vehicles carrying cattle feed, poultry feed, fodder for animals and eggs. Employees of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department will continue to work during the curfew.
