Bathinda, September 16
Former SAD minister and kisan wing president Sikander Singh Maluka and former minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon along with other party leaders today said the rights of Punjab farmers were their priority and any alliance was secondary for the party.
They said the SAD would never compromise on issues related with the people of Punjab, especially farmers. They claimed the party hadn’t been taken into confidence by the Union Government and no detailed information pertaining to the Bills was given to them.
Maluka said the SAD had always struggled for the rights of Punjab’s farmers and won’t allow the Centre to pass the anti-farm Bills. — TNS
