Bathinda, August 13
Following the orders of the Supreme Court on the issue of mob lynching, Deputy Commissioner Praneet and Bathinda SSP Dr Nanak Singh have started implementing the guidelines.
Giving information here on Monday, SSP Dr Nanak Singh said following the directions of the Supreme Court, SP (Headquarters) Surinderpal Singh had been designated as nodal officer while DSP (D) Jasvir Singh would assist him in the cases of mob lynching.
Besides, to avert any such future incident, strict action would be taken against those who incite mobs in any way for going violent.
Also, strict action will be taken against those who send viral messages on social media, such as Facebook and WhatsApp. — TNS
