Foster father bludgeoned to death

Faridkot, June 19

A 30-year-old person allegedly bludgeoned his foster father in Chak Kalayan village here on Wednesday.

According to information, deceased Ajmer Singh had adopted accused Rajbir Singh from his brother.

Father of three children, accused Rajbir was living separately from his foster parents for some time. For the past about five months, Rajbir’s wife was also not staying with him after a domestic dispute.

According to a complaint, on Wednesday, in an inebriated condition, Rajbir reached the house of his foster father Ajmer Singh and asked him to convince his wife to return from her parental home. After the father expressed his helplessness, Rajbir allegedly attacked him with a small-sized club of wood, causing multiple injuries and fractures.

After sustaining injuries, Amjer was brought to the Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered against Rajbir.— TNS
