Fun-filled annual day at Mount Litera

BATHINDA: Mount Litera Zee School, Rampura Phul, celebrated its third annual day ‘Colors Fiesta- 2018’ on Tuesday amid great zest, vibrancy and elation.

Mount Litera Zee School, Rampura Phul, celebrated its third annual day ‘Colors Fiesta- 2018’ on Tuesday amid great zest, vibrancy and elation. Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) Sukhwinder Singh was the chief guest and Rampura SDM Khushdil Singh Sandhu was the guest of honour.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Afterwards, Gagan Bansal read the school’s annual report of the past session 2017-18. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where the chief guest gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school and motivated them with his words of wisdom.

Many dramas were enacted by young actors. The cultural programme commenced with ‘atithi devo bhava’ followed by the dance performance Raas Rachaiya. 

Students performed various dances such as garba beats, jai kara, Mughal souls, clown in town, Govinda moves, depicting diversity of different cultures. 

The students also touched the sensitive social issue of female foeticide through a silent act mime to give message that female foeticde is a disgrace to female gender. Students also presented choreography ‘A Wandering Spirit’ which depicted the superstitious nature of the society.

The grand show ended with the most-awaited performance of bhangra - ‘Rooh Punjab Di’ the famous Punjabi folk dance. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
