Members of the Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant (GNDTP) coordination committee on Thursday held a rally as part of the preparations of the stir announced by the PSEB Joint Forum, Punjab.
The members raised their long-pending demands during the rally. These included reopening of the thermal plants that were shut in the state, release of DA instalment, unconditional implementation of increment after a service of 23 years, increase in the pay band and timely promotions.
Addressing the rally, coordination committee leader Parkash Singh said the joint forum would hold a meeting with Power Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar and top PSPCL officials on Thursday, adding that if their demands were not met, they would gherao the residence of the minister tomorrow. He said they would observe a day-long strike across the state on September 26.
