Punjab Ekta Party (PEP) chief Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who is contesting the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from Bathinda Parliamentary constituency and is a relative of Jagmeet Brar, said on Friday that the latter had taken a wrong decision by joining the SAD.

“I am saying in my personal capacity that Jagmeet Brar took a wrong decision. This decision is totally against the ideology he followed throughout his life. However, I can’t comment on it further,” said Khaira, who visited a few villages in Lambi Assembly segment.

People of Punjab want to get rid of stray cattle and dogs, which shows that the successive governments could not even provide basic facilities to the residents, Khaira claimed.

He further demanded Rs 50,000 per acre crop-damage compensation for the farmers.
