Members of the Association of Active NGOs (AAN) have been conducting a voting awareness drive and exhorting city residents to exercise their franchise in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The members of the association have actively been carrying out field activities to spread awareness among residents at different public places and schools through different modes. They have been exhorting them to cast their vote in the upcoming elections.

The association members have created a ‘selfie point’ at Joggers Park to spread awareness among the voters.

Darshan Kumar, secretary of Red Cross Society inaugurated the ‘selfie point’.

Darshan said, “AAN has been making all-out efforts to ensure 100 per cent voting. The elections are the foundation of a democracy and a single vote can decide the fate and development of the nation. Therefore, everyone must exercise their franchise.”

In the coming days, the association members will visit colleges and academic institutions and also use social networking platforms to spread awareness.
