Man duped of Rs35L, 4 booked

Bathinda: Four persons have been booked for duping a Bhairupa resident of Rs35 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Australia.



Bathinda: Four persons have been booked for duping a Bhairupa resident of Rs35 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Australia. Complainant Harpreet Singh told the police that Jasvir Singh, his wife Randeep Kaur of Kheri Kalan, Dharamjit Singh and his wife Manpreet Kaur , residents of Basantpura, took Rs35 lakh from him for sending him to Australia. He said they neither sent him aboard nor returned the money. Police officer Karamjit Singh said a case under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered against the accused at the Phul police station. The police officer added that they had started a probe into it.
