Man, wife consume poison, latter dies

A petty dispute between a husband and wife turned ugly on Monday night when both allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at Badal village here.

Later, the woman, Suman Rani (22), passed away. Her husband Jatinder Kumar of Malout is admitted to the Civil Hospital, Badal, and said to be critical.

The deceased’s uncle said Suman got married about three years ago, but started living separately with her son at Badal village about a fortnight ago. The Lambi police have started investigation.
