Constable Balkaran Singh, an official witness and signatory to a memo, appeared in court and gave his chief examination. However, his cross-examination could not take place as the counsel for accused gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria failed to attend, citing a health issue.
The slain singer’s father, Balkaur Singh, a prosecution witness, was also absent due to health issues. Advocate Satinder Pal Singh Mittal, counsel for Balkaur Singh, conveyed the reason for his client’s absence and stated that he would try to be present on the next date.
The court has fixed February 6 for the cross-examination of Balkaran Singh and further testimony from additional witnesses, including Balkaur Singh.
Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, at Jawaharke village.
