A senior official said that the smuggling of arms also indicates the involvement of gangsters in the cross-border smuggling cartel.

During the operation, the forces seized 2.102 kg of heroin, seven pistols — including one Glock pistol, four .30 bore pistols and two 9 mm pistols — along with magazines, live cartridges and a motorcycle.

According to SSOC officials, the consignment of arms, ammunition and contraband was smuggled from Pakistan via drone by Pakistan-based smugglers.
