Prof Gupta elected Pbi varsity senate member for fourth term

BATHINDA: The Punjab Governor-cum-Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala, has nominated Professor Ashok Gupta (retd) as a member of the Senate for the fourth consecutive term in view of his services and contribution towards the cause of education.

The Punjab Governor-cum-Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala, has nominated Professor Ashok Gupta (retd) as a member of the Senate for the fourth consecutive term in view of his services and contribution towards the cause of education.

He has assured to work for the welfare of society. Various NGOs of the district have welcomed the decision and congratulated him. The term of the Senate is for two years and he has been nominated for 2016-2018.

He assured that he would concentrate on the overall development of the university. He has been instrumental on the uplift of colleges affiliated to the the university.

Professor Gupta is associated with many NGOs, including the Patron Bharat Vikas Parishad, President Retd Senior Citizen Brotherhood, Patron Panchnadh Association and Youth Welfare Organization and had conducted numerous national and international-level tours.
