Bathinda, April 11

Already creating a buzz with its title and amazing songs, the cast of Punjabi movie “Golak Bugni Bank te Batua” visited the city for promotion on Wednesday. Among them were actors Harish Verma, Simi Chahal, Gurshabad and Bir Singh.

Talking to Bathinda Tribune, star cast of the movie said it was largely a comedy film with a message. They further said the movie also included real-life incidents, which occurred during the demonetisation period, but in a satirical way.

Harish Verma, alias Jatt Tinka, said, “The film has been made under the banner of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment along with Hayer Omjee Studios. We have shot the movie in Punjab as well as Himachal Pradesh.”

He said it was a very unusual script and the characters were very close to real life.

Simmi Chahal said, “It’s a story of middle-class families. In the film, Neeta (Harish Verma) and I fall in love with each other and flee the home to get married, but get caught in unusual circumstances due to demonetisation.”
