Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains conducted a surprise inspection of the under-construction School of Eminence in Mansa and expressed concern after finding some students studying under a temporary tin shed.

Interacting with students, Bains apologised for the inconvenience and assured them they would be shifted to a new building within a month. He said the upgraded infrastructure would improve facilities and the learning environment.

The minister reviewed construction progress and directed officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe. He later shared a video of his visit on social media.

He also held a question-and-answer session with students and appreciated their academic performance.

During the visit, Bains took note of a garbage dump near the school and directed the local municipal council to pass a resolution for its removal. He said no waste disposal site should function near an educational institution due to health and safety concerns.

District Education Officer Neelam Rani said the minister had directed the municipal council to remove the dump. She added that she was not present when students were found sitting under the shed, but the school principal was there.
