On the first day of filing nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections, the SAD (A) candidate, Gursewak Singh Jawaharke, filed his papers from the Bathinda parliamentary seat.
He submitted his papers to District Election Officer B Srinivasan, who is also the Deputy Commissioner, at his office in the district administrative complex.
The last date of filing nomination papers is April 29 and scrutiny of papers will be done on April 30. The deadline of withdrawing nomination papers is May 2.
