To protest against the state government for waterlogging, SAD leader Vijay Kumar staged a protest in Paras Ram Nagar area here on Wednesday. During his symbolic protest, he stood on a crane and whistled asking people to stay alert.
The former councillor said, “It has been more than 36 hours since the rain lashed the city. Roads are still waterlogged and the state government has not provided any help. If senior officials were taken to safer places using tractors and boats, why were not NDRF personnel called for the rescue of the common public? They faced a huge loss due to damage to their household items as rainwater entered their houses.”
He said that state government had not made any alternative arrangements for monsoon due to which in the first monsoon rain, its tall claims had been exposed.
