Saffron party’s Bathinda chief files papers as Independant

Bathinda, February 3

Facing the ire of farmers, BJP Bathinda (urban) president Vinod Kumar Binta has filed nomination papers as an Independent candidate for the Bhucho MC poll in Bathinda district.

Returning officer (RO) Mander Singh said, “Vinod Kumar Binta filed his nomination as an Independent candidate from ward no. 2 in the Bhucho Municipal Council.” However, Binta claimed he filed the nomination as a party candidate but the party letter in his papers had been misplaced. The BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) had announced to protest against the BJP candidates in the MC poll. — TNS
