School in Bathinda renamed after martyr Hazoora Singh Babeka: Vijay Inder Singla

Bathinda: School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Friday said Government Elementary School, Poohla, in the district had been renamed after martyr Hazoora Singh Babeka. He said the school had been renamed as Shaheed Hazoora Singh Babeka Government Elementary Schoo. Singla said following the directions of the CM, the department had renamed the school after adopting due process and getting clearances from various departments. He said Shaheed Hazoora Singh sacrificed his life during the Burma War and was awarded with ‘The Burma Star’ for his services. — TNS
