Security beefed up at Amritsar airport

AMRITSAR: After the bomb blast at Nirankri Bhawan in Adaliwal village near Shri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) beefed up the security arrangements at the airport.



Amritsar, November 18

After the bomb blast at Nirankri Bhawan in Adaliwal village near Shri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) beefed up the security arrangements at the airport.

Immediately after the blast, the security forces evacuated the parking area and sealed the visitor’s gallery. Only passengers were allowed to enter the airport building.

Dharamvir Yadav, Commandant, CISF, Amritsar, said that following the red alert, the CISF already made foolproof arrangements at all levels. The city police also deployed cops around the airport after the blast. — TNS
