The Startup India Punjab Yatra van will reach Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET), Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, on January 18.

The Punjab Government in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India, is organising the “Startup India Punjab Yatra” across the state, which will showcase the strides made by the scheme.

In a press note issued here on Tuesday, a spokesperson of the university appealed to the aspiring youngsters to participate in the yatra, which will be flagged off from Chandigarh on January 16 and will reach Bathinda and stop at GZSCCET. The yatra will not only encourage the youth to nurture the new startup ideas but also provide a platform to handhold budding entrepreneurs so that they realise their startup dream, get incubated at a facility and take their idea to the next stage.

The van will travel to various cities of Punjab with the following objectives: Spreading awareness about Startup India and the policies and schemes of the Punjab Government for startups, to register students/wannapreneurs interested in attending bootcamps and pitching their ideas, the spokesman added.
