According to information, on March 13, some persons threw 20 packets of biri and three pouches of dry tobacco inside the jail from the outer wall. But, a case under Section 42 of the Prison Act was registered against unidentified persons on Saturday night. According to the FIR, when tobacco products were thrown inside the jail, an employee of Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation, posted in the jail, Nachatar Singh, took the packets to head warden Gurdev Singh, who further informed his seniors about it.
