Two brothers booked for abducting, raping minor

BATHINDA: A 15-year-old girl was raped by two brothers, who live in the neighborhood of the victim’s house at Maur Kalan village.

A 15-year-old girl was raped by two brothers, who live in the neighborhood of the victim’s house at Maur Kalan village.

The victim is a Class X student. It is learnt that the accused used to follow her for the past many days, but today they allegedly kidnapped her and took her to an isolated place, where they physically abused her. They also threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident.

When they came to know that victim’s parents had approached the police, they dropped the her near her house and fled from the village.

In a complaint lodged by the victim to the police, it has been stated that the accused brothers Pali Singh and Satnam Singh abducted her from her house and took her to some isolated place, where they raped her.

She has also stated that her family members were busy in the upcoming marriage of her paternal aunt and she was all alone in the house.

When around 11 am, a car stopped outside her house, she thought some relative had arrived, due to which she went out to see them.

Both accused were there in the car and as per their plan, they dragged her into the car.

She shouted but the accused closed her mouth with a cloth and took her away. In the evening, they left her near her house.

The investigation officer said they had registered a case on the complaint of the victim and have started a probe into the incident.

However, no arrest has been made. The accused are around 20-22 years of age.

A case under Section 376, 363-A and 34 of the IPC and Section 4 of the POSCO Act 2012 has been registered against the accused at the Maur police station.
