Bathinda, November 21

The Mansa police on Wednesday claimed to have solved a blind murder case within two hours. According to police sources, a woman murdered her husband with the help of her paramour, before throwing the body in the water channel at Jawaharke village.

Paramjit Kaur, wife of deceased Kiranjit Singh alias Jeet Singh, a resident of Piplian village, had an illicit relation with Avtar Singh alias Deepu, a resident of Mansa. On Tuesday night, when Kiranjit was sleeping in his house, Paramjit called her paramour to the house and they murdered Kiranjit by slitting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon. They threw the body in the water channel to erase evidence.

Mansa SSP Mandhir Singh said Mansa city 1 police got information regarding the recovery of an unidentified body from the Jawaharke bridge. He immediately brought the matter to the notice of DSP Simranjeet Singh, after which the police initiated a probe into the incident and the police succeeded in solving the blind murder case and arrested the accused.
