Born in a small district Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India Tel K Ganesan has always been fascinated by automobiles. It was this passion that drew him to pursue Mechanical engineering. In pursuit of learning and his passion for cars has led him to move to the United States where he earned his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne University. He landed a position at Chrysler shortly after graduation, where he started as an Assembly Variation Analysis Engineer and rose through the ranks to become a Lead Engineer. He worked for Chrysler for more than a decade before leaving to create his own IT services Company, Kyyba Inc.
When asked what motivated him to leave his job and pursue entrepreneurship, Tel answers that life is all about taking risks for what you are passionate about, which is exactly what he did and continues to do. "I recognized that while I was happy doing what I loved, I was no closer to achieving my American dream than I was the day before, so I quit a well-paying permanent job with pension, in other words got out of the golden cuffs to establish something on my own that is both satisfying and meaningful," Tel explains.
What started as an IT services firm has spread its wings and now Kyyba has its presence is various industries. Tel now owns and runs Kyyba Innovation that mainly focuses on R&D, Kyyba Films that bring quality films with impressive story lines to the audience, Kyyba Wellness that encourages and promotes a healthy lifestyle, He also started the Kyyba Kidz Foundation that promotes quality education and provides job skills to the underprivileged. He is an active contributor to programs for women development and empowerment in Detroit and Tamil Nadu
