A harmonious fusion of colour, emotion, and imagination—this is the world of Neeraj Sharma, where every brushstroke tells a story and echoes the vibrant rhythm of life. A contemporary artist based in New Delhi, Neeraj has carved a distinctive identity through his seamless blend of Indian traditional motifs with modern abstraction.

Neeraj’s artistic journey began amidst the scenic landscapes of Dehradun, Kota, and Maharashtra—places that quietly shaped his creative consciousness and instilled in him a deep sensitivity to form, culture, and storytelling. What started as a self-taught exploration gradually evolved into a lifelong pursuit of artistic excellence.

Balancing his passion for art alongside a long-standing career in the aviation industry, Neeraj’s journey reflects discipline, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to his craft. He later formalised his artistic training with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Advances Diploma, further enriching his perspective through international art appreciation courses in cities like Paris, Spain, Zurich, and Berlin.

His acclaimed Symphony Series stands as a testament to his ability to translate rhythm and emotion into visual form. Each painting in the series is anchored in a unique concept, often centred around musical instruments that symbolise the deep connections music and art create—between people, across cultures, and beyond borders. These works are not just visual expressions but collectible pieces, each carrying its own narrative and emotional resonance.

Working primarily with acrylic on textured canvas, Neeraj creates intricate compositions defined by earthy palettes and meticulous attention to detail. The textured grain of the canvas subtly enhances each concept, while the interplay of carefully chosen hues and shades brings richness, depth, and vibrancy to his work. His artistic language extends beyond a single medium—embracing oil, watercolor, charcoal, dry crayon, and spatula techniques. Beyond canvas, his creativity flows into caricature, comic illustration, and even the meticulous craft of building miniature ships and models, showcasing the breadth of his artistic imagination.

In April, Neeraj is set to showcase his work at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai—an exhibition that promises to be a compelling convergence of tradition and modernity, inviting audiences into his richly textured world.

Through his art, Neeraj not only paints images but composes visual symphonies—each piece a reflection of life’s rhythm, cultural memory, and boundless imagination.
