ARHI hospital inaugurated in Meghalaya, set to strengthen Northeast healthcare

ARHI Hospital was officially inaugurated on Thursday, marking a major milestone in the healthcare sector of Meghalaya and the Northeast region.

According to a press release, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda as the chief guest. Meghalaya Health and Family Welfare Minister Wailadmiki Shylla attended the event as the guest of honour.

Other dignitaries present included Meghalaya Minister Sosthenes Sohtun, Assam Minister Rameswar Teli, ARHI Hospital Chairman and MLA A.L. Hek, and the hospital's CEO, Dr. Mahamaya Prasad Singh.

The release stated that ARHI Hospital has been established with the vision of providing world-class healthcare services at affordable costs while addressing the growing healthcare needs of Meghalaya and the Northeast. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic facilities, critical care services, modular operation theatres, emergency and trauma care facilities, and modern medical technology.

The hospital aims to emerge as a centre of excellence in patient care, medical research and healthcare innovation in the region.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of government officials, healthcare professionals, community leaders, industry representatives and members of the public, symbolising a new chapter in accessible and quality healthcare services for the Northeast, the release added.
